Tom Wolff, J.D.
Estate planning and elder law attorney for Kansas City families.
A direct, thoughtful approach to planning
Tom Wolff is the founding attorney of Heirloom Estate Planning & Elder Law. He works directly with clients to understand what matters, identify the decisions ahead, and build a plan that fits their family.
Tom came to the law as a second-career attorney. At 41, after building and running a dental transitions business, he went to law school at UMKC with a clear understanding of how legal decisions affect real people, families, and closely held businesses. That practical experience continues to shape the way he listens, explains options, and helps clients move forward without unnecessary complexity.
He chose estate planning because it sits at the intersection of law and real life. A thoughtful plan can protect a family during incapacity, make difficult conversations easier, and create clarity when circumstances change—not just dictate what happens after someone dies. Today, Tom brings that perspective to every consultation, helping clients make decisions they can feel good about putting in place.
Clients come to Heirloom for clear answers without the runaround. Tom’s work is grounded in careful listening, practical guidance, and the belief that good planning should make life easier—not more intimidating.
